The Chicago Board of Trade has reprimanded Bunge Corp., LouisDreyfus Corp. and five individuals in connection with the expirationof the March wheat future, which sent the price rocketing almost 50percent to a record $7.50 a bushel.
The exchange doesn't comment on disciplinary matters, but theactions were posted at the exchange Friday.
Louis Dreyfus and its Term Commodities division was fined$10,000, settling allegations the Wilton, Conn.-based grain exporterplaced and executed an order after the final bell. Officials at thefirm weren't available for comment.
