Demonstrators demanding jobs for minority workers triggered a fight at a midtown Manhattan construction site Wednesday that left two people slightly injured, police said.
The melee at the site of the A&S Plaza at Sixth Avenue and 33rd Street erupted about 2:30 p.m., when a yellow school bus arrived carrying about 50 protesters, said police Deputy Inspector Michael Julian.
"They began to threaten various workers, demanding jobs," Julian said.
"This is an ongoing dispute regarding jobs for minority workers," he said.
